Editorial policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Our goal is to publish accurate, useful and independent MMA information. This policy explains how we work.

Sourcing

Fighter data comes from public records and published fight statistics. For articles we prefer primary and authoritative sources, such as official rulebooks, athletic commission documents and promotion statistics. We link to such sources where it helps readers verify a point. We do not use anonymous rumours or paid placements as sources.

How we handle numbers

  • Records, height, reach and country are checked against more than one public source where possible.
  • Rates such as accuracy and defense are rounded and marked approximate with a “~”.
  • When we cannot confirm a value, we show n/a rather than guess.
  • We never invent precise figures.

Independence

Advertising and partnerships never influence what we publish. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage, do not publish betting tips and do not link to streaming sites.

Writing and review

Articles are evergreen explainers, not news. Each is written to answer a clear question, reviewed for factual accuracy and checked for clarity before publication. We avoid unverifiable claims, and any statistic we cite is general or clearly attributed.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, tell us through the contact page with the fighter or article, the figure and a source. We review corrections promptly. Material corrections are applied with an updated date, and we note significant changes on the page.

Update schedule

We review the fighter dataset regularly and after major events, and revisit articles at least twice a year or when rules change. The “Data last updated” date on the comparison tool reflects the latest dataset review.

AI and automation

We may use software tools to help with formatting and checks. Editors remain responsible for what is published.
